We follow the process as it is actually performed, not as it is documented: which systems it touches, where information is re-entered by hand, and which steps genuinely need a person to decide something.

What comes back is a practical next step and what it would involve. If automation is not the right answer for this process, we will say so — a short honest answer is worth more to both of us than a project that should not have started.
