About VMD
Engineering that has to
survive Monday morning.
VMD Software Technology builds software for the systems companies actually run on — and builds its own products from what that work keeps teaching.
Two halves of one business.
One half is engineering for companies: software, automation, integration and applied AI, built around systems that already exist and cannot be switched off for a rewrite. The other half is VMD’s own products and platforms, developed from the patterns that show up again and again in that work. Neither half is a side project.
What the work is made of
Software engineering
The foundation. Applications and platforms designed to be operated, maintained and extended by people who did not write them.
Business understanding
Before the software, the process. Knowing why a step exists is what separates automating work from automating a misunderstanding.
Automation & integration
Most operational pain is not a missing application. It is systems that hold the same truth separately and never speak.
Applied AI
AI grounded in a company’s own records, placed where a decision needs it — not a model behind a text box.
Products & platforms
Software VMD builds and owns, including HELIX. Engineered once, properly, instead of rebuilt per engagement.
How the work is done
- Start with one process, not a transformation programme.
- Work with the systems that exist, rather than around them.
- Keep the judgement with the people accountable for it.
- Build for the person who will operate it, not for the demonstration.
- Say what a system does and what it does not.
What VMD is today
VMD Software Technology is a technology brand and engineering practice operated by Vladimir Korać, backed by 15+ years of software engineering experience. It is not yet a registered company — company registration details will be published here once they exist. Everything on this site describes work that has been done or software that is being built; nothing describes a plan as though it were finished.
Start with one process.
Describe a process that slows the company down. The reply says which systems are involved and what a first step would be.
